The house is a two story brick colonial built in the 1990's in Sylvania, Ohio. A husband "Bob" and his wife "Mary" are the original owners who had the house built and live there with their two children (daughter and son. There are five bedrooms upstairs with one being used as an office and one as a TV room.
In the spring of 2002, Mary and some friends decided to have a séance in their home. Several spirits appeared to make contact including what was perceived to be two children. No one saw the children but they could be heard giggling and running in the house at the time of the séance.
Beginning the very next night, their dog, which always slept very well in the master bedroom at night, no longer wanted to stay in that room. Bob began to sense that there might be a presence in the house but Mary would not admit to it. After all, it was her séance. By mid summer both the children also said that they thought something was in the house.
By October of 2002 everyone in the family began to catch a glimpse of something in the corner of their eye almost on a daily basis. Mary thought that it was probably the children who never left the night of the séance. She sensed that the new technology and particularly the bathroom in the master bedroom fascinated the children. For these reasons we decided to conduct an investigation.
Our investigation took place in November of 2002. We set the camcorder up in the master bedroom facing the bathroom. Within twenty minutes the left dowsing rod began spinning clockwise outside of the master bedroom door and outside the daughter's bedroom. Ten minutes later the left dowsing rod once again began spinning clockwise just inside the master bedroom and a chill went down my back and arms. I could sense energy just inside the master bedroom door and in the hall outside of the door. Ten minutes later the left dowsing rod began spinning clockwise at the end of the master bedroom bed. Twenty minutes later I saw a "sparkle" on the toy chest in the son's bedroom. The left dowsing rod was spinning rapidly over his bed. I then followed the dowsing rods into the hall before the rods went silent.
We stopped the investigation for one hour and restarted the investigation upstairs. Within ten minutes both the left and right dowsing rods were spinning clockwise in the corner of the son's bedroom. Fifteen minutes later the left dowsing rod began spinning clockwise over the son's bed. The final activity occurred ten minutes later and consisted of some limited left hand clockwise spinning of the dowsing rod.
Three weeks after our initial investigation Mary experienced a strange incident. She was lying on the left side of her bed watching TV with her bedroom door closed. She was lying on her side facing away from the bedroom door with all of the covers pulled up to the pillows. She thought she heard her son come into the room but when she rolled over to look the door was still closed. The covers on the right side of the bed had been pulled down like someone or something was about to climb into bed.
Two days before Christmas in 2002 the owners of the home were taking pictures in their basement of a remodeling project that was under way. Much to their surprise they inadvertently took a fascinating photograph with a digital camera. The photo very clearly shows a bright, dense, three dimensional orb with what appears to be a face in the center. This photograph is one of the most interesting I have ever seen.
In January of 2003 as Mary was in the bathroom and the house was empty she distinctly heard a voice call out "mommy".
Bob saw a dark shadow move briskly into his first floor office in February of 2003. One week later Mary saw the movement of what looked like a young child of maybe ten, move through the downstairs rooms.
In late February of 2003 Mary was woke from a sleep by a "puff" of cool air blown into her face at 12:03 AM. Her dog that had been sleeping soundly began to pace and carry on several minutes later and did not settle down for about ten minutes.
Bob was taking a shower in mid March of 2003 when he saw his wife past by the shower on her way to the commode. Looking through the glass shower door he clearly saw the figure pass by, the only problem was that Mary had never entered the bathroom.
During the first week of April 2003 several events took place that were unexplained. Bob was working in his office on the first floor when he heard foot steps in the dining room. These steps seemed to proceed up the stairs and across the upstairs hall. Bob followed the sounds up the stairs and felt a chill at the top of the stairs and in the hallway. The next day Bob was about to take a shower after exercising. He noticed a capital letter "R" drawn inside of a smudge on the mirror over the sink. The letter was not there in the morning and no one was home during the day. Bob took several photographs of this letter in the mirror.
On May 6, 2003 both Mary and Bob had separate encounters with their ghostly visitor. Mary was in the master bedroom when she saw someone cross the hall from her sons room to the TV room upstairs. The sons bedroom has been the site of previous paranormal energy. As Bob was taking a shower in the afternoon, he bumped into "someone" that scared the heck out of him.
Bob had another encounter on June 27, 2003 while reading in a chair in the family room. Bob saw a small figure move from the kitchen into the dining room. He immediately got the chills and followed the figure but did not see anything else.
Mary had her own encounter with her childish friend on July 2, 2003. It was 8:45 in the evening and she was heading up the stairs trying to get one of her dogs to follow. The dog would not go up the stairs and waited at the bottom. When Mary was two thirds of the way up the stairs she saw what she thought was her teenage daughter walk down the hall from the master bedroom. The only problem was that her daughter was taking a bath at the time. The dog then ran up the stairs and followed the "daughter" down the hall.
The week before Christmas 2003 was an extremely active time. Both dogs would look at the corner of the family room next to the Christmas tree and bark non stop. The dogs would eventually follow something with their eyes as "it" left the room and would then quiet down. This scenario played out time after time.
It seems as though the spirit energy has made it's self at home in this house. During our investigation it appeared as though the energy would leave a room shortly after we entered it almost as though the energy was playing a game of hide and seek with us. I never felt threatened or nervous at any time and I do not believe the energy is dangerous. Mary now seems to be the center of the activity in the house. She believes that this energy is that of a young girl who desires the company of an adult for security and comfort. This could very well be the case and we will continue our investigation as long as is necessary to reach a conclusion.
