Fulton Opera House
The Fulton Opera House is located at 12 North Prince St. in Lancaster, PA. The opera house is on the National Register of Historic Places and is America's oldest continuously operating theatre. Originally built as a community building in 1852, the theatre was built on the site of a pre Revolutionary War era jail and a Conestoga Indian massacre. The community building which was called Fulton Hall used some of the foundation of the stone jail in its construction. In 1873 Fulton Hall was converted into an opera house where many famous actors entertained, including John Wilkes Booth.
The Fulton Opera House has been the site of apparitions, ghost lights, and ghostly screams. Al, who is a visitor to our web site, took the photos of the Fulton Opera House included on this page.

         Here's how it happened:
My wife (Merry) and I were going to the Fulton Theater to see the play, A Christmas Carol. Merrys sister Holly is one of the actresses in the play and had given us tickets to come see her perform, as we always do. So we left Philadelphia a little early, so that we could eat dinner in Lancaster and get there earlier, hoping we would see Holly before the show. We got there about 6:15 or so.  I parked our car across the street from the theater. We got out to look for Holly but had no luck. We got back inside the car to sit for a little while, beings we were early. It was kind of cold out and it was a clear night. I have a Sony DSC-P20 2.1 mega pixel digital camera that we took along. At that time, which was about 6:45/ 6:50, I decided to get a couple of pictures of the theater, the building was lit up and there was no one out there, just a few people on the inside? So I walked up a few feet from the car, in front of the theater. I stood in the street across from the theater and took a picture. I took a few steps back and shot another one while I was standing on the curb. All this time there was no body in front of the building. I stood against the wall and shot another one. And that was it. After I took the pictures, I took a walk around the block, just to kill some time. So we went in and saw the show, and met with Holly afterwards in front of theater. We said our good-byes and drove home.

The next morning, when I started downloading the photos, I saw the figure in the left bottom corner in front of the building, standing against the wall, and had no idea what it was. It looked like a person. When I zoomed in on it, I started to get chills. Then I started to play with it to see if I could get a better look at it, and I did.
